A group of local professionals interested in improving mental health services for deaf people in New York’s Capital Region are holding meetings to develop an action plan. In addition to advocacy work, The Capital District Deaf Mental Health Consortium (CDDMHC) will serve as a clearinghouse for information regarding mental health services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the region, provide workshops and trainings to local service providers, and create social opportunities for deaf/HoH mental health consumers. The meeting is open to the public and interpreters will be provided.
